Since I was a child, I've had an active imagination, and I used to cut paper in half to transform them into paper angels. They were a bit strange, but I enjoyed playing with them, imagining their powers in different shapes and forms.
I began my journey as a designer by enrolling in an Interior Design course, and I there knew I was born to design. Back then, I participated in competitions, studied Industrial Design at the University of the State of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. There, I also pursued a specialization in Furniture Design.
During this time, I discovered new possibilities, experimented subjects and materials, processes, the way to think as a designer, and participated as a committee member of the 16º Regional Meeting of Design Students Brasil. It took me two years working as a volunteer, transforming and spreading design for various students and places.
As I mentioned, my imagination was very fertile, and I loved watching animations, playing video games, reading adventure and mystery books, and watch brazilian soap operas . My curiosity fueled my journey as a designer, always eager to test everything, discuss various topics, and apply my ideas in my designs.
My curiosity has sent me to different universes, and this also applies to design. I'm always looking for different typography, new objects that are visually appealing, or exciting architectural designs from around the world. Because design is in everything. Whatever the subject, I want to apply design principles like philosophy, sociology, and physics, which excites me so much!
However, as a child and now, I know that I needed to use my imagination for something bigger than me. So, I'm always wondering how can I apply design to transform our world and make it a better place for us. We need to be careful with the environment and consider how people will use the things I'm creating.
I like drags, vogue, animes, brazilian soap operas, Rihanna is my number 1 diva, cakes, popcorn and salpicão (kind of brazilian salad), ahhhh and also I'm saggitarius and of course I like to travel (who doesn't?)
So, what do you think? Let's design together?
